Dynamic web sites
Kerio WebSTAR serves static and dynamic web pages using a variety of
technologies, such as server-side includes, database connectivity,
FlexMail form-processing utilities, support for Tomcat, Java servlets,
and JSP, AppleEvent CGI support or UNIX CGI Support (Including PERL
CGIs).
Server testing and automatic recovery
Web
and FTP services are all tested periodically to ensure that
unresponsive servers are quickly stopped and re-launched without the
need for administrative intervention.
Searching
Kerio
WebSTAR provides searching and indexing capabilities, a customizable
interface for search queries and results, automatic crawling and
indexing of local and remote sites, and is able to rip through large
sites.
Extending WebSTAR through Plug-ins
Kerio
WebSTAR 5 has an extensive plug-in interface and a large third-party
community. Third-party solutions available to Kerio WebSTAR 5 include
search, logging, security and FTP plug-ins.
Extending functionality through plug-ins
Various plug-ins from Kerio and third-party developers help extend the
functionality of Kerio WebSTAR. The following plug-ins come with Kerio

4D WebSTAR Directory Indexer and File Upload Plugins
These 4D WebSTAR V plug-ins provide browser-based file sharing services, and you can use them separately or together.
4D WebSTAR FTP Plugin
This 4D WebSTAR V plug-in provides FTP-based file sharing services.
4D WebSTAR WebDAV Plugin
This 4D WebSTAR V plug-in
provides WebDAV file sharing services over HTTP, and works with many
clients including OS X's "Connect to Server" feature, Macromedia
Dreamweaver, Adobe Golive, and many more.

4D WebSTAR Flexmail Plugin
This 4D WebSTAR V plug-in emails or saves form submissions in any format you choose.
Databases
4D Rewrite Plugin
This Kerio WebSTAR V plug-in can redirect
or proxy browser requests to your database's built-in Web server,
including 4D Web Server.
4D WebSTAR SSI Plugin
Allows you to use Server-Side Includes in your web pages.
Administration
Every unique website served by Kerio WebSTAR can have its own Site Administrator.
WebSTAR Admin Client
Java-based Admin Client application helps you configure and monitor Kerio WebSTAR remotely and securely.
Global Administrators vs. Site Administrators
Kerio WebSTAR supports two levels of administration: Server-wide and
Host-specific. Server-wide settings apply to the server suite as a
whole and all hosts, while other aspects are configured separately for
each host.
When Kerio WebSTAR is serving several (unrelated) web sites for various
clients or departments, Global Administrator (Full Administrator) can
designate different Site Administrators (Host Administrator) for each
web site.
Site Administrators then only "see" their web site and their
site-limited administrative rights will not compromise the security of
the other web sites or the server as a whole.
WebSTAR Monitor
Kerio WebSTAR Monitor utility helps you see the usage of your web server, number of administrative
connections, and the admin and web server logs without opening full Admin Client.
